#1001 Cork
Cork is an impermeable, bouyant, cellular material harvested from the bark of Quercus suber (cork oak tree) grown in Portugal, Spain and other areas. It is harvested in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way. Starting when the tree is about 25 years old, the bark is removed from the tree trunks every 9 years without causing permanent damage to the tree. Cork oak trees live about 200 years.
Cork products are easily recycled into other cork products.

#1002 Cork/Rubber
This material is composed of cork granules with various rubber polymer binders making excellent gasket materials. Binders include SBR, Neoprene, Nitrile and others. Your requirements will determine the type of rubber binder to best suit your application. We offer many qualities in various thicknesses.
  • BC351 Cork/SBR - Medium density made with reclaimed cork/rubber material. Economical material used in conditions of mild heat and fluid resistance. Available from stock in rolls 1/32" to 1/4" thick or without adhesive backing.
  • HC60 Cork Nitrile - Medium compressibility with good fuel and oil resistance under medium bolt pressure. Used for transmission oil gaskets. Available in sheets 36" x 36".
  • SP52 Cork/Sponge Neoprene - Moderate oil resistance. Used for die ejection, oil sealing at low torques, anti-vibration and cushioning. Available in sheets 36" x 36".
  • NCA45 Cork/Synthetic Rubber - Medium oil resistance. Uses: automotive valve and transmission cover gaskets and oil pan gaskets. Sheets 36" x 36".
